Burl Brothers started as a hobby in 2015 and has its roots in Central Iowa. Ross Uitermarkt lives in Pella, Iowa near Lake Red Rock and Brandt Uitermarkt resides in Iowa City. Their work has been featured in both locales as well as across the state in farmer's markets, craft fairs, and home décor stores. Keep an eye out for future events in 2017!

Locally - and Ethically - Sourced Materials

All wood, both processed and unprocessed, is sourced ethically from central Iowa through a tree service company or obtained using driftwood permits. No trees were cut down for the purpose of making our products and we take pride using 100% reclaimed materials. In addition, all finishing products (i.e. oils, waxes) used are environmentally friendly and home-safe.
